She’s here. She had a nice late lunch and took a good poo. Which is a relief to my mother an I because she’s been having problems. Going to get some mineral oil tomorrow.
She needs a cute nickname while she stays with us. So far I have a super hero theme going on. Should I continue?

Stark was not pleased. I’ve never heard him inner-squeal so loud before! Actually I don’t think he ever has. He is very interested in investigating her, but still protests that I’m the one babying her.
It’s ok, Stark, You’re still my baby. (:

New baby!

HEY

IF ANYONE IN TUCSON IS LOOKING FOR A BIG, FLUFFY, GREY, NEUTERED MAIN COON MIX

WE ARE RE-HOMING BENTLEY!!

He is very, very sweet, likes other cats, and will tolerate dogs.

He does seem to want to hunt birds, though, so homes with birds are NOT…

Please tell every dog or cat owner you know. Even if you don’t have a pet, please pass this to those who do.Over the weekend, the doting owner of two young lab mixes purchased Cocoa Mulch from Target to use in their garden. The dogs loved the way it smelled and it was advertised to keep cats away from their garden. Their dog (Calypso) decided the mulch smelled good enough to eat and devoured a large helping. She vomited a few times which was typical when she eats something new but wasn’t acting lethargic in any way. The next day, Mom woke up and took Calypso out for her morning walk. Halfway through the walk, she had a seizure and died instantly.Although the mulch had NO warnings printed on the label, upon further investigation on the company’s web site,This product is HIGHLY toxic to dogs and cats.Cocoa Mulch is manufactured by Hershey’s, and they claim that “It is true that studies have shown that 50% of the dogs that eat Cocoa Mulch can suffer physical harm to a variety of degrees (depending on each individual dog). However, 98% of all dogs won’t eat it.”*Snopes site gives the following information:http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/cocoamulch.asp
.asp>Cocoa Mulch, which is sold by Home Depot, Foreman’s Garden Supply and other garden supply stores contains a lethal ingredient called ‘Theobromine’. It is lethal to dogs and cats. It smells like chocolate and it really attracts dogs. They will ingest this stuff and die. Several deaths already occurred in the last 2-3 weeks.Theobromine is in all chocolate, especially dark or baker’s chocolate which is toxic to dogs. Cocoa bean shells contain potentially toxic quantities of theobromine, a xanthine compound similar in effects to caffeine and theophylline. A dog that ingested a lethal quantity of garden mulch made from cacao bean shells developed severe convulsions and died 17 hours later. Analysis of the stomach contents and the ingested cacao bean shells revealed the presence of lethal amounts of theobromine.**PLEASE PASS THIS ON**

Hello everyone! I may need your help caring for a very small stray kitten. I will give you all the information I have as I know it, but some of the details are fuzzy, and I am writing this as the situation unfolds. I will make edits as new info unfolds. Today my local friend and fellow artist came into care of a three week old black female stray kitten. Her coworker had found this kitten along with a littermate in a widow well, and rescued them and brought them to work. The other kitten found a home, but this small black girl kitty still needs a home. I don’t have experience caring for very young kittens, but from the vets and shelters I’ve contacted and the info I have, I think this kitten need immediate medical attention. She is hissing (possibly in pain from her fall into the window well) and one of her eyes is goopy and possibly infected. Since it’s Sunday, only the emergency vets are open and available to take in a kitten. My friend is going to be bringing the kitten to the vet asap to assess any injuries or illnesses, but can’t afford to pay. I’ve offered the use of my Care Credit Card, a special credit card I only use for veterinary expenses for my own cat. Loaf (my cat) had some emergencies recently, and my Care Credit card is low on funds. Still, it’s all we have right now to help get immediate help with this kitten.I don’t do this often, but I’m asking for help to pay for this tiny kitty’s veterinary expenses so we can get her healthy and ready to be adopted! No shelters are open at this hour on Sunday, and no regular vets are open either. So our best bet is to get her care at an emergency vet, and care for her overnight (or however long it takes) till we find her a forever home. I can’t afford to adopt another cat, as Loaf’s veterinary expenses are high enough that it would be impossible to care for another cat. And my friend can’t afford to have any animals at all, so we’re at a standstill financially. I will likely be spending the night with my friend to help overnight care for this little night star of a kitten. My paypal address is - wolfnymph@gmail.com We do not yet know what the expenses will be for the kitten’s care, other than the $94 emergency visit fee. Anything will help, my friend and I want to give this kitten every chance to thrive and find a new forever home!

I’d love to take this kitty, she’d have to be an outdoor/barn cat with our other two though. We’re on 80 acres, essentially.

I think after going through all of this, this little baby deserves to be a pampered indoor kitty for life. ;u;

THIS CUDDLY CAT NEEDS A LOVING HOME! He has been abandoned by someone in my apartment building, and I have been feeding him. He sleeps in the chair outside my door. He is missing an eye and definitely needs to go the vet. He is not fixed, but he is so sweet and I simply can’t afford what he needs. If anyone in the Eugene, OR area feels they are up to loving this sweet animal please let me know!

I thought I’d tell you about Sport Pet’s cat play cubes. I bought the first one a couple months back at Walmart. At $3 and some change I thought I would give them a try. Logan, my heaviest rough-houser, decided to adopt it as his.. sort of hamster ball. There was a long while where he would run throughout the house somehow keeping himself inside of it. He would sleep in it. eat in it. and ambush people and other animals through it.
I can’t tell you how creepy it is to walk by and have this cube attack you. Afterwards it’s hilarious.
Not soon after that he hit his growth-spurt and now can’t run around in it as easily, but that doesn’t stop him. The cube has suffered from all that play, but is totally worth the money to see him so happy with it.
Since then I’ve had to buy more cubes for the other cats in the house because they took a liking to Logan’s, but he just doesn’t want to share all that fun.

Since I bought the green one, they have changed what the packaging looks like and the colors. They might have more, but at my Walmart they only sell the baby blue and soft pink.

I will warn that if they ever look this bad to throw them out. Logan plays rough with his and the newer ones made by Sport Pet are made with a stronger fabric.
I’m going to have to retire Logan’s very very soon. Our foster kitten, Alice, got her foot tangled in torn pieces… So it’s time to throw it out. I tried buying Logan a new one. He looked happy at first and ran into it immediately, but then made a U-turn out of the next hole and ran back to his. It’ll be sad, but he’ll just have to get used to a new security blanket. lawl
